Mental health is more than just a mental disorder, it exists on a complex continuum that is experienced differently by each individual. Mental health conditions may include mental disorders and disability associated with significant distress or even the risk of self-harm. People with mental health conditions are more likely to experience low levels of mental well-being but this isn’t always the case.

Individual psychological factors like emotional skills, substance use, and genetics can make people more vulnerable to mental problems. Exposure to unlikely social economic and environment can be another reason for upset mental health conditions.

Each single risk and protective factor has a limited amount of mental strength. Most people do not develop their mental health conditions despite their exposure to many risk factors and a lot of them didn’t know that these factors could still they could worsen their mental.

Promotion and prevention first works by identifying the individual, and social problems of mental health. Interventions could also be designed for individuals, groups, or populations. Reshaping the obstacles of mental health requires more action that is beyond the health sector. The health sector can contribute by embedding the promotion efforts of health services.

It is vital to not only protect the well-being but it is important to address the needs of the people with the help of mental conditions. This should be done through community-based health care and be provided a network of services that comprise.

  • Mental health services that are integrated into health care.
  • Community mental health services that may involve community mental health.
  • Services that deliver mental health care in social services and non-health settings.

We must take vast care for common mental health conditions like depression and anxiety means countries must find a way to diversity to scale up the care for the conditions.
